Everyone is excited that it’s almost time for the holiday break!  Did I say teachers or students?  LOL that would be both.   Just  wrapped up a very successful fundraising cookie dough event with the Big Kahuna.  The money raised will go towards much needed equipment for our campus.  We appreciate everyone’s continued support!  Thursday students that sold 15 or more items won a Hummer Limo Ride to Mazzio Pizza Parlor.  Friday students that sold 5 ore more products got extra time on our Bouncy House Equipment provided by the Big Kahuna.  Intermediate knows that Generosity is our word of the month for Character Traits and generously shared the fun with Primary students!  Hopefully all students had a great time and are feeling the holiday spirit!

Red Ribbon Week has been so much fun for students and faculty!  Just a little reminder and taking a breath that it is almost Friday!  Have a safe and fun Halloween.

Anyone ready for the Friday Dance? I know Mrs. Ganong would do it! The teachers have been working hard this week and so have the kids. I know everyone is ready to sleep in!

Don’t forget to bring a book to read in the morning while you are in the gym! We would also like to welcome new students this week. White Oak is a great place to be!

It’s Thursday and we have made it through the first week of school. The students and the faculty are feeling the burn!

Although we will miss the summer and all that entails, sleeping in, staying up late, no schedules,  it is so good to see the kids.  We forget our purpose until we see them.    I always feel that I was led to White Oak Intermediate for a purpose and that includes taking care of my teachers, my principal, and the students.  Our faculty always strives and goes above and beyond to work with your child and help them succeed.  I am thankful to be part of the White Oak Community and blessed to have had my children and grandchildren go through this district.

We Made It!

If you are wondering why I call my blog site Mrs. D’s Fish Bowl it is because I sit up front and everything swirls around me and everyone can see me all the time. Thus, I feel like I am in a fish bowl! I love my job at White Oak Intermediate though and wouldn’t trade it for more money! Our students and parents are the best and you can’t beat the quality of teachers that we have. I come back to work on the first Monday in August and will be ready to get after it. See you soon!
