Wow the kids are getting restless at school.  You can tell summer is just around the corner.  I can’t wait to sleep in (which will be 7:00 a.m.) and not have to be anywhere.  My summer starts after the first week of school.   I will be taking care of Christopher, my grandson, age 6 and my mother-in-law.  So say a prayer for me!

We are all getting excited about summer vacation.  The students leave early the last week of school on Wednesday (12:30), Thursday (12:30) and Friday (11:30).  Math Retakes for 5th grade will be next Tuesday, May 19th.  This Friday, May 15th, 4th grade going to Skateplex and after that they will be at the park.  Sounds like good times to me.  Hope everyone has their AR points because we are planning on having a great day, Tuesday, May 26th.    I sure will miss my friends in 5th grade when they move up. 

Well today is Friday and 4th grade just finished with their field day.  They looked exhausted but thrilled with their fun day.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.    Don’t forget group pictures are Tuesday, May 12th. 

Well the TAKS test (except for any retakes) is OVER!  We know we are ready for the end of school when that happens.  Grandparent’s Day for Kindergarten students is tomorrow.  They look so cute in their cowboy hats and T-shirts.  Our students will be getting out of the building to allow grandparents plenty of room to eat lunch and look around.  3rd grade will go to the Community Center, 4th grade will travel to the park, and 5th grade will tour Middle School and view Mr. Brewer’s automobiles.  Have a good weekend and a well deserved rest. 

Everyone is so quiet today!  3rd and 4th grade are taking Math TAKS today.  Good luck everyone.  4th grade reading TAKS tomorrow.  3rd and 5th grade Reading TAKS retakes tomorrow. 

Everyone is getting excited about spring and summer break on the way.

 Wednesday, March 11 — You can feel the excitement with Spring Break just around the corner.  I hope it is beautiful weather so we can all enjoy being outdoors. 

Tuesday, March 3rd    3rd and 5th grade will have their Reading TAKS test.  4th grade will have their Writing TAKS.  Everything will be quiet here so the students can concentrate and do their best work.     I had the pleasure of attending Ashley Underwood’s wedding Saturday.  That is Coach Underwood’s daughter.  Coach Underwood looked lovely and her daughter looked like a princess.    Let’s say a prayer for the teachers, students, and principal as they get through a very stressful day! 

Tuesday, February 17 – It has been a nice day today.  Baseball season is upon us and the students get excited.  There is something about spring coming around the corner.  I love to fly kites with my grandchildren and listen to music with the windows rolled down.   What do you think of when you FEEL spring? 

Well, I am still a work in progress.  Changing up my blog page and really not quite sure I understand what I am doing.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day on Saturday. 

Wednesday, February 11th — The internet provider is down today so we could not access a computer at school.  Hopefully it will be up and running Thursday.  Thursday is Honor Day for Intermediate Students.  Please be on time and in the gym at 8:00.  I wonder what is new in the treasure box?
