Yearbook Pictures
Today was picture day and our kids looked so cute! I saw lots of smiles today. I think we are suppose to have a sunny weekend and I can’t wait! I am taking the day off tomorrow to have quiet time for the morning. In the afternoon I plan on picking up the grandchildren and attending my first pep rally of the year. Go Roughnecks!
Wonderful Wednesday
Third grade students practiced today for their TAKS Math test. They are so grown up this year getting ready for TAKS. The kids are busy talking about what they will dress up for on Halloween. Maybe I will see everyone at the White Oak High School Fall Festival Saturday night or White Oak Community Church Fall Fest on Sunday. Please check the Intermediate web site for Red Ribbon Week which will be next week. We have some fun things planned for the week. You don’t want to miss out!
And I wonder, Still I wonder, who will stop the rain?
Thinking about the song from Creedance Clearwater. Wow I am ready for some relief. Need to run errands after school but who wants to get out in this? Hope the students enjoyed being out on Monday. Check out Intermediate Campus web site when you want to be informed of upcoming events. I am learning more each day from our technology guru, Mrs. Cranford.
Welcome to White Oak
Get a Voki now!
We registered new students this week. I hope they enjoy the great state of Texas! What a great place to be.
Homecoming Week
White Oak’s homecoming week has begun. Everyone that is not a homegrown Roughneck wonder WHY is it every three years? After raising my children here and working on the Intermediate Campus for 15 years I do not question this any longer! Kacy and Tom are going to the homecoming game and taking Karsyn, who by the way, will be wearing a mum. Yes, a mum, for my 3 year old grandchild! She will love it and think she is one step closer to being a princess/cheerleader. Not sure if my grandson, Christopher, will be going this weekend, although I am sure he would love it. Maybe White Oak has their homecoming every three years so it will be special. I have to admit they may be on to something. I have only been to Union Hill for homecoming one time! Go Roughnecks! Go Ladynecks!
Moving Windmills
I have to admit I am hooked on Google Reader thanks to Pam Cranford. I love to keep up with some of my favorite blogs. One that I read today, was “Moving Windmills”. I will make my first attempt to embed this video on my blog. Current news in the office is that it is FRIDAY! It has been a tough couple of days but we have survived. Just to let all the parents know how much we appreciate your sweet children at school. I love all my hugs I get in the morning. White Oak Intermediate is a great place to be.
Friday Dance Part II
“Alone we can do so little;
together we can do so much.”
– Helen Keller
Great Day!
Everything going great in the office. We got quite a bit of work done today which is always a good thing. Sure was great to see happy faces this morning!
Let’s Do The Friday Dance!
Miss my Goll girls that would do the Friday dance with me. They have moved on up to Middle School this year. Everyone looked so happy that the weekend was finally here. Looking forward to Monday and a great second week of school.
